3M National Teaching Fellowship: Call for Nominations

The Society for Teaching and Learning in Higher Education has opened the nomination process for the 2021 3M National Teaching Fellowships.  Recognizing that UBC has many faculty members who are worthy of this prestigious recognition, I would like to strongly encourage you to nominate colleagues from your Faculty or School.  The award recognizes and rewards a unique faculty member who, in addition to being known for extraordinary teaching, is also active in promoting exemplary teaching in others.

All nominees or nominating parties are asked to consult Dr. Simon Bates, who will offer advice on the process and the nomination package.  Simon will also assist with preparation of the support letter for the Provost & VP Academic’s signature.  He can be reached at: simon.bates@ubc.ca

Please note:  There is a newly-revised nomination package and guidelines, which you can view at: https://www.stlhe.ca/awards/3m-national-teaching-fellowships/.

Nomination packages should be sent to the Office of the Provost and VP Academic by:  Friday, December 11th, 2020.  Following sign-off by the Provost, our office will return the package to the Faculty who must then submit it directly to the competition by the STLHE deadline in January.
