SSHRC would like to seek your input on the Imagining Canada’s Future (ICF) initiative

In 2018, SSHRC, in partnership with Policy Horizons Canada, engaged with leaders across academic, government, business and community sectors as part of a foresight exercise to identify key emerging, societal issues facing Canadians. This horizon scan resulted in the identification of 16 future global challenges.

Three of the challenges were the focus of recent knowledge mobilization efforts, including the funding of knowledge synthesis grants: Living Within the Earth’s Carrying Capacity, Working in the Digital Economy and the Emerging Asocial Society (KSG competition to launch in fall 2021).

SSHRC are now looking ahead to identify three additional future challenge areas to be featured in future programming and/or corporate activities between 2022 and 2025.  SSHRC is inviting cross-sectoral stakeholders from across academic, public, business and community sectors to help identify the next key future challenges on which to focus knowledge mobilization efforts, as part the Imagining Canada’s Future initiative.

SSHRC kindly invite you to disseminate this invitation to participate in the online survey to the members of your network, association or organization. Responses are anonymous. The survey should take approximately 10 minutes to complete. We kindly ask that you complete the survey by Friday, July 23rd.

SSHRC greatly value and recognize the diversity of expertise and insights that we receive and much appreciate hearing your views.
