SPARC DG & RTI Support Service reminder

 

Please be reminded that SPARC is offering a number of support services for the upcoming DG & RTI competitions;

 

DISCOVERY GRANT:

Peer to Peer Review: Small groups of 3-4 DG applicants will read and review each other’s proposals, and provide both written and verbal feedback.

  • In-person Sessions: Held on UBC Vancouver campus on September 19, 20 or 21. SPARC will aim to arrange groups by DG Evaluation Group.
  • Collaborative Virtual Sessions: Held via videoconference for UBC Okanagan applicants and those unable to attend in person.

Evaluation Group Roundtable Discussion: SPARC will host an informative roundtable discussion featuring UBC faculty who serve on the NSERC Evaluation Groups for the DG program, as well as Equity, Diversity and Inclusion. This discussion will take place Wednesday, September 12, from 9-11am. Visit the event webpage to register.

 

SPARC Review: SPARC will provide a detailed review of the full DG application and CCV, based on NSERC selection criteria and merit indicators. To register, please send your DG Notification of Intent and CCV to Alex Unterberger by Friday, September 7. Full applications and CCVs will be accepted for review starting Monday, September 24.

Drop-in Hours
SPARC staff will be available for three hours every two weeks to provide information, advice and a dedicated time/space to work on your DG application. Drop-in hours will take place at the SPARC office, every second Tuesday, 1-4 pm starting August 7 until October 16, inclusive (next session September 4).

SPARC Review: SPARC will provide a detailed review of well-developed RTI applications. To register, please contact Mika Johnson by Friday, September 7.
