Faculty Mobility for Partnership Building Program

EduCanada has launched the Faculty Mobility for Partnership Building Program for the 2022-23 academic year.

The program provides Canadian professors with opportunities to create or expand partnerships with Latin American and Caribbean institutions through short-term teaching and/or research activities at the college, undergraduate and graduate levels.

The maximum grant value per candidate is CAD 7,000. Recipients may seek additional funding from other sources (private or public). The duration of the mobility is three (3) weeks minimum and eight (8) weeks maximum. Successful candidates may extend their stay with funds from other sources.

Eligibility
Candidates must be full-time faculty members at Canadian post-secondary institutions. Grant recipients must teach or conduct research in eligible ELAP countries in the Caribbean, Central, North, and South America.

How to Apply:
To be considered for the Faculty Mobility for Partnership Building Program, UBC must apply on behalf of the candidate by completing and submitting the EduCanada online application form. The Office of the Vice-Provost, International will submit all of UBC’s completed applications by the EduCanada deadline of December 2, 2021.

The internal application deadline to apply is end of day, Friday, November 19th.

The Vice-Provost International Office will complete the following submission materials:

  • Letter of support from the Canadian institution’s International Office (NB: letter will be completed once all submission documents have been received by the deadline of November 19th)

We ask all candidates to please also note the reporting requirements – within 30 days of the termination of the project, grant recipients must produce a narrative report of maximum 5 pages.
