SPARC, the Faculty of Education, and the Faculty of Arts are pleased to offer the first of two panel discussions focused on effective collaboration with non-academic partners in the Social Sciences and Humanities (SSH). The event will take place on Monday, May 14, from 12:30-2pm, at Michael Smith Labs, Room 101.
With SSHRC support for collaborative projects between researchers and non-academic organizations at an all-time high, there is more incentive than ever for researchers in SSH to explore partnerships with the Public, Private, and Social-Profit/Non-Profit sectors. Panel members will share their unique experiences of building thriving collaborative research projects with non-academic partners. In addition, a former SSHRC Partnership Engage Grant adjudication committee chair will discuss the features that make a competitive PEG proposal. This panel is ideal for those considering applying to SSHRC Partnership, Partnership Development, and Partnership Engage Grants, as well as the Peter Wall Institute’s Wall Solutions Initiative.
