Mitacs Career Connect: Funding for work placements with recent graduates

Mitacs Career Connect helps eligible organizations recruit up-and-coming talent. The program offers funding for eligible organizations to work with new graduates, including grads they may already know.

Career Connect internships must support a green project in the science, technology, engineering, or math fields. Funding is limited and awarded on a first-come, first-served basis, and internships must start no later than October 1, 2018.

Eligible hiring organizations include:

  • Post-secondary institutions
  • For-profit organizations, including sole proprietorships
  • Provincial, territorial, regional, and municipal governments
  • Not-for-profit, non-governmental, and Indigenous organizations

Eligible interns must be:

  • Between 15 and 30 years old at the start of their internship
  • A post-secondary graduate
  • A Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or refugee
