CIHR, NSERC and SSHRC (Tri-Council/Tri-Agency) are initiating changes to simplify and provide additional flexibility in the use and administration of grant funds.
Tri-Agency representatives will be holding consultation sessions to share information about the upcoming initiative and to discuss concerns. They welcome feedback from current and recent CIHR, NSERC and SSHRC grant holders.
UBC is proud to be part of the pilot phase of the “Renewal of the Tri-Agency Financial Administration” initiative. Starting in the fall, as part of the first phase of this initiative, UBC researchers holding CIHR, NSERC and SSHRC grants will adhere primarily to UBC guidelines and policies in managing this funding. This is intended to simplify and provide additional flexibility in the use and management of grant funds and reduce the amount of time and money spent on financial administration.
The following sessions are planned for UBC Vancouver and UBC Okanagan:
- July 31, 2:00-4:00pm, Life Sciences Centre, Room 1002 (LSC 1) 2350 Health Sciences Mall, Vancouver
- August 1, 1:30-3:00pm SCI 396, UBC Okanagan
- August 2, 9:30-11:00am, Michael Smith Laboratories, MSL Theatre 102, 2185 East Mall, Vancouver
