The 2019/20 Northern Scientific Training Program (NSTP) is now open for applications. The NSTP supports student research in the North by supplying supplementary funds to offset the additional costs of Northern research.
Both students and professors must read the program guidelines before filling in the application. NSTP funds are to be supplementary to the total cost of the research, and this must be clearly indicated in the application. These funds can only be used for logistical costs and translator/interpreter fees. Please be aware that successful NSTP applications typically receive $1500 to $3000 per student.

Please email a copy in pdf format of the application form (after approval by the supervisor), and completed UBC Research Project Information Form to Margie Heras at the Office of Research Services (margie.heras@ors.ubc.ca).
Please note that the deadline for submitting Applications on the NSTP portal (with a copy in pdf to margie.heras@ors.ubc.ca) is Friday, November 17, 2017. The deadline for submitting Reports on the NSTP portal (including supervisor comments) is Monday, November 19, 2018.
