The Pacific Institute for Climate Solutions (PICS) recently announced a call for proposals under its new Theme Partnership Program. PICS welcomes proposals for its new $1M Program, which will connect top researchers with policy and industry leaders to develop climate change solutions. Partnerships between the academic community and climate solution decision-makers in the private and public sector are key elements of the program, ensuring co-designed research results are developed in a timely manner and have practical use within BC and beyond.
PICS recognizes that developing effective solutions for complex issues will require integration of work across multiple disciplines. It will also involve partnerships between people and organizations that extend well beyond normal academic linkages. The Theme Partnership Program will facilitate that process, supporting excellence in near-term solution generation while at the same time encouraging longer-term partnerships and effective collaboration on climate solutions. The deadline for letters of intent for this inaugural call under the Theme Partnership Program is Feb. 15, 2019.
