NFRF 2023 International Joint Initiative for Research in Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation

The 2023 International Joint Initiative for Research in Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation represents a collaboration among research funders from Brazil, Canada, Germany, Norway, South Africa, Switzerland, the United Kingdom and the United States to leverage international expertise to tackle the global challenges caused by climate change. It aims to further the design and implementation of co-produced adaptation and mitigation strategies for vulnerable groups—those groups currently most impacted by the effects of climate change, owing to both physical vulnerability and socio-economic vulnerability.

Applicants must apply as a transnational research project partnership. Each consortium partner may have additional eligibility rules for applicants and proposed projects. Use the links in Table 1 to review each funding organization’s eligibility rules, requirements, funding mandates, policies, eligible costs, and procedures.
