PICS is proud to launch the Uplifting Reciprocal Research Scholarship Program, designed to support graduate-level scholars at PICS universities whose research aligns with First Nations-led climate action in what is known as British Columbia.
This program:
- supports research in alignment with the BC First Nations Climate Strategy and the Action Plan for Disaster Risk Reduction.
- offers financial support to master’s, PhD, and postdoctoral scholars.
- encourages reciprocal, community-led research in collaboration with First Nations.
- builds case study knowledge and fosters connection across the climate adaptation and mitigation community.
This initiative reflects the ongoing relationship between the First Nations Leadership Council (FNLC) and PICS, grounded in mutual respect and shared goals around climate leadership and capacity building.
