SPARC, the Faculty of Education, the Faculty of Arts, and the Community Engagement Office are pleased to offer the second panel discussion in our series focused on effective collaboration with non-academic partners in the Social Sciences and Humanities (SSH).
With SSHRC support for collaborative research projects at an all-time high, there is more incentive than ever for SSH researchers to explore partnerships with the Public, Private, and Social-Profit/Non-Profit sectors. Panel members representing organizations from each of these sectors will discuss their experiences partnering with UBC researchers.
This panel is ideal for those considering applying to SSHRC Partnership, Partnership Development, and Partnership Engage Grants, as well as the Peter Wall Institute’s Wall Solutions Initiative, MITACS and other partnered funding programs.

Multiple UBC research partners including Maged Senbel (School of Community and Regional Planning)
One of eight partners on the SSHRC PDG: “Immigrant Inclusion in Planning Practice”
Lerato Chondoma, Associate Director, Indigenous Research Support Initiative (IRSI)
IRSI serves as an interface for communities that approach UBC with research needs and undertakes to transform UBC culture to build, maintain and strengthen long-term research relationships with Indigenous communities.
